Brighton Council offers grant assistance to sporting and community groups through its Community Grants Program. Our Community Grants program for 2023/24 has changed.

Applications must be on the designated form and will only be considered against the appropriate category and its set criteria.

Major Impact Grant Applications

Major Impact Grant – Application Form

The Brighton Major Impact Grant is a new grant category that aims to address safety, sustainability, loneliness or other service gaps across our municipality.

This grant is available once a year and the grant category amount ranges from $30,000 up to $80,000.

Eligible stakeholders for this grant are not-for-profit organisations.

Applications close on the 25th August 2023.

Quick Response Grant Applications

Quick Response Grant Application Form

The Brighton Quick Response Grant Applications aim to celebrate individual achievements and community transport support. Quick response grants are one off and are offered all year round until allocated funds are expended. Evidence of your involvement with a team or community group will be required to receive a quick response grant.

For individuals – this grant is for full-time students under the age of 18 years who have been selected to represent Tasmania or Australia in a sport, the arts or another chosen field of expertise. The amounts are $100 if representing Tasmania and $200 if representing Australia.

For groups –  this includes community groups who may require support for a community outing in the form of transport. Please review the Community Grant Guidelines on our website before completing
your application.
