Holding a Community Event

Brighton Council have a range of facilities available for public use, from parks and sporting grounds through to halls and centres for both private and public functions.

You can find more information about what facilities we have available for hire – in the Parks and Facilities area of the website.

We will also require that you or your organisation have current public liability insurance.

If you would like some information on affordable insurance for your community group, please click here.

If you do not have public liability insurance, you can “purchase” this insurance for single daily use at a cost of $25.

If you are planning an event in one of our facilities, parks or reserves such as a wedding, party, art exhibition, you may need to complete a Public Event Application Form. (Contact Council on 6268 7000 to discuss if your event will need to complete this form).

Brighton Alive is a website that lists activities, events and community groups in the municipality as well as other useful information and links. You can upload your activity/event/group to publicise your activity.
