Holding a Community Event

Brighton Council have a range of facilities available for public use, from parks and sporting grounds through to halls and centres for both private and public functions.

You can find more information about what facilities we have available for hire – in the Parks and Facilities area of the website.

We will also require that you or your organisation have current public liability insurance.

If you would like some information on affordable insurance for your community group, please click here.

If you do not have public liability insurance, you can purchase this insurance for single daily use/a once off event at a cost of approximately $35 through Local Community Insurance Services (LCIS).

If you are planning an event in one of our facilities, parks or reserves such as a wedding, party, art exhibition, you may need to complete a Public Event Application Form. Please contact Council on (03) 6268 7000 to discuss if you will need to complete this form for your event.
