Community Information

Welcome to the Brighton Community Services Guide

Premier's Welcome

This Guide covers more than 170 services available in your community that provide advice and services to families, young people and children in the Brighton area.

The Brighton Community Services Guide has been produced because residents told us there was a need for a single, comprehensive list of all available services.

Whether you're looking for a job or somewhere to live, or need advice about caring for your family, relationships or keeping healthy, this guide can put you in contact with people who can help. It also helps service providers to keep in touch so that they can work together to meet the community's needs.

The Tasmanian Government is committed to building strong communities and safeguarding services in regional areas. I encourage you to use the Brighton Community Services Guide to tap into the support available in your local area.

Mayor's Welcome

Brighton Council has a long history of successfully working together with the State Government. I can also state that this has been done in a co-operative manner with a genuine desire for achieving the best outcomes for our community.

This guide stems from a partnership between the State Government and Brighton Council that has in this project been extended to include the Commonwealth Government. As an output of this partnership, this guide gives a comprehensive listing of the community services available in our municipality.

I am proud that Brighton Council is involved with this project, which is a good example of what can be achieved when we work together.
